Ananda wins CondéNast Traveller 2010 award!

In a glittering ceremony last week (1st September), 2010) in London to mark the CondéNast Traveller Reader's Travel Awards 2010, Ananda in the Himalayas was voted No. 2 in the Best Destination Spas in the World . With this award Ananda carries the unique distinction of being the only destination spa to be voted within the World's Top 3 Destination spas for 6 years consecutively from 2005 to 2010 by Condé Nast Traveller Reader's Travel Award, which is considered the leading award in the industry.

The CondéNast Readers Travel Awards is based on votes from their readers for the things they really like about travel, from business hotels to destination spas, airlines to specialist tour operators. Each voter was asked to indicate their index of satisfaction with travel facilities and services. They were then asked to rate their choices according to various criteria, such as ambience, personalised service, cuisine, and value for money.

Celebrating 10 years

Ananda has stepped into its tenth year in 2010. It’s been a decade since we first started out in 2000, with only a Palace living on the edge of time, surrounded by acres of wild lantana and natural beauty, and a vision of what it could be. It seems that the years spanning that decade have simply melted away yet our philosophy and dream still remains unchanged.
